Raised in Alberta, Canada, she finds inspiration for her folk style storytelling from the prairies she grew up in and the sounds of Nashville Tennessee, where she now lives. Raised by her rock n roll loving hippie parents, Brooke isn’t all country. Her hippie roots found her living in Bali, Indonesia for a portion of her youth. Singing mantra music, attending full moon ceremonies and learning to meditate was and still is a huge part of her story. Brooke’s sound captures the traditional notes of western-folk while staying true to the darker, sensual americana tone that inspired her image. Complete with a touch of that witchy mystic flair that she so deeply possesses. Taylor’s songwriting unapologetically touches on the themes of The American dream, Northern prairie life, adolescence, love, and is deeply steeped in undertones of her spirituality.
